Kirsty G Pringle

Dr Kirsty Pringle is an ARC Future Fellow. Kirsty obtained her PhD in 2008 from the University of Adelaide and has since established a research program at HMRI and the University of Newcastle focusing on various tissue renin angiotensin systems in pregnancy and female reproductive health. Kirsty’s research aims to: 1) increase our understanding of the functions of the renin angiotensin systems in pregnancy; 2) identify novel early biomarkers for pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia and preterm birth; 3) develop strategies to improve perinatal outcomes; and 4) stop the cycle of chronic disease that is prevalent in Indigenous populations.
