A/Pr Jeremy Thompson is a NHMRC Senior Research Fellow, within the School of Paediatrics and Reproductive Health at the University of Adelaide and The Robinson Institute. He completed his PhD (Qld) in 1986 at the Veterinary School then was in New Zealand at an agricultural institute for 13 y. In 1999 he was appointed as the Laboratory Director within the University of Adelaide’s IVF unit, which he relinquished on obtaining his first research fellowship. His primary research interest is the metabolic determinants of developmental potential within mammalian oocytes and embryos. He has managed several business units within the University and is a consultant to, and developed products with, various companies that are involved in reproductive technologies. He has published over 120 journal articles, reviews and book chapters.
