Andrew Baird

Andrew Baird was born and bred in Sydney. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Marine Ecology at James Cook University (JCU) in Townsville. He next completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, Japan and is currently a Professorial Fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at JCU. Andrew has broad research interests in coral reef ecology including the reproductive biology and biogeography of the Scleractinia. His primary research interest at present is to understand and predict the range limits of corals under a changing climate.
