Chris van der Poel
Dr Chris van der Poel is a senior lecturer in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy & Microbiology at La Trobe University where he is affiliated with the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine (LASEM) Research Centre. His primary research interest aims to better understand factors influencing skeletal muscle function at the cellular and whole muscle level. He is currently part of a multidisciplinary group investigating skeletal muscle repair and skeletal muscle function in a number of muscle wasting pathologies including ageing, dystrophy, osteoarthritis, ALS, and brain trauma.
