Wah Chin Boon
Dr Wah Chin Boon is a Senior Research Fellow, in the Neurodegeneration Division of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health. She obtained her PhD from National University of Singapore, for cloning the sheep 11beta-hydroxlase gene, under the supervision of Professor John Coghlan at the Florey. Her post-doctoral training was to characterise the phenotype of aromatase knockout mouse under the supervision of Professor Evan Simpson, at Prince Henry’s Institute. Currently, she leads the Steroid Neurobiology group at Florey to elucidate the effects of sex hormones in the brain and on behaviour. Her research is supported by NHMRC and Medical Research Commercialisation Fund.
