Margaret Zacharin

Prof Zacharin is a clinical endocrinologist in both paediatric and adult endocrine practice, with clinical research in growth and puberty, fertility preservation, hormone replacement treatment of adolescent hypogonadism plus primary and secondary bone fragility disorders, resulting in over 180 published papers. International teaching schools include Africa, Asia, Europe and USA. Her work has been recognized by awards of the Order of Australia medal, and a number of national and international awards for clinical excellence from the Australasian paediatric endocrine group (APEG) the European Society of Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE). Creation and free provision of translated educational booklets on paediatric endocrinology for families in 15 languages to date has been an international collaborative effort.
